We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.

Nitty Gritty of Life After Discovery

Perhaps if you’re like me, you feel fragile after the discovery of betrayal. Broken. Confused. Daily life seems overwhelming. The following are concerns that I have had, and some may be yours as well. Here is a place, in this “Nitty Gritty of Life After Discovery” to bring our questions.  to invite others to share what has helped them and to pray for one another. Let’s share how God’s “great power” and his Word continues to bring healing in these areas.

  • When the battle rages on and healing seems slow.
  • How to cope with sleepless nights.
  • Depression.
  • Self-esteem.
  • Feeling undesirable.
  • Dealing with the pain in our heart.
  • How to know when repentance is sincere.
  • Sexual intimacy after betrayal.
  • Triggers!!!
  • Managing feelings of revenge.
  • Self-care.
  • Healthy boundaries.
  • Learning /choosing (or even wanting) to love a spouse again after betrayal.
  • Communication with spouse.
  • Rebuilding trust.
  • How much transparency (in the marriage & those outside the marriage)?
  • When to involve the church? (Matt 18:15-17).
  •  Processing &/or moving on.
