It seems to me that it’s important to validate the pain that betrayal can cause. God himself lets us know how important our tears are. He keeps track of all our sorrows!
Along with verses to encourage and discuss under this category, “Identifying and Understanding Trauma”, here is a space to share our stories. This could also be a place to ask for prayer. Here are some possible suggestions of what we might want to share:
- The discovery.
- The resulting harm, loss and grief.
- Reflections—how did we get here?
- Trying to understand why.
